Overview
Delivering Consistent, Ready-to-Deploy Infrastructure Across 50+ Hospitals
Healthcare organizations depend on reliable, standardized IT environments to power clinical systems, EMRs, and connected care technologies. To help one of the nation’s largest health systems modernize its data center and networking infrastructure, Denali Advanced Integration, in partnership with Dell Technologies, developed and deployed Project EVE — a Rapid MDF-based infrastructure program engineered for healthcare performance and speed.
Built on Dell’s enterprise compute, storage, and networking platforms, the solution delivers repeatable, plug-and-play infrastructure across dozens of hospital sites. Each site is configured and validated off-site, dramatically reducing installation time and ensuring consistent quality from day one.

Challenge
Inconsistent Deployments and Long Lead Times Slowed Modernization
The health system faced growing complexity managing hundreds of MDF rooms across its facilities.
These issues limited scalability and slowed time-to-value for critical technology initiatives:
- Hardware and configuration changes over time creating non-standard deployments
- Vendor lead times and supply-chain delays disrupting project schedules
- Difficulty tracking equipment between order and installation, leading to lost or aging assets
- Labor-intensive onsite configuration causing downtime risk in clinical areas
- Inconsistent documentation and lifecycle management across locations
Solution
Operationalized, Turnkey Infrastructure — Deployment as Code
Denali introduced Project EVE, an operationalized deployment framework based on its Rapid MDF methodology and powered by Dell Technologies hardware.
At the core of the program is the Datafill File, a single source of truth capturing every technical and operational detail for each site. Using this standardized data model, Denali’s automation platform pre-builds and configures each MDF environment off-site, ensuring identical quality and compliance before shipment.
Key elements of the solution:
- Pre-engineered, fully integrated rMDF systems using Dell PowerEdge servers, PowerStore storage, and PowerSwitch networking
- Deployment as Code process that eliminates manual configuration, increasing reliability and speed
- Turnkey delivery — each MDF is plug-and-play ready upon arrival, reducing onsite labor and downtime
- Iterative improvement loop — lessons learned at each site are codified into future deployments for continuous optimization

Consistent Quality, Faster Activation, and a Scalable Deployment Model
Together, Denali and Dell Technologies have created a proven blueprint for healthcare infrastructure modernization, one that balances speed, reliability, and compliance across a distributed network of care facilities.
